We, the Studierendenwerk Stuttgart, provide services and support for 58,000 students from 15 universities in Stuttgart, Ludwigsburg, Esslingen, Göppingen an Horb. Our goal is to help you have as worry-free a study experience as possible.

We have been supporting and looking after students for over 100 years. The predecessor institution of today's Studierendenwerk, Stuttgarter Studentenhilfe e.V., was founded in 1921 due to the consequences and effects of World War 1. At that time, the foundation stone was laid for the social infrastructure in the university region. To this day, Studierendenwerk Stuttgart is at the side of students and advocates for their economic and social needs.

So come to us with your requests and questions! Our specialists can advise, help, and mediate. Food that is as cheap as it is tasty can be found find in our nine canteens and nine cafeterias. Our 31 dormitories offer favourably priced accommodation. We are happy to look after your children in one of our six daycare centres and can provide you with comprehensive advice on BAföG payments and funding your studies, social problems, legal issues or personal problems.
